1 Million Starlings!
February 9 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
FreeLeader – Amanda Sultan-Black
We might not see exactly 1,000,000 starlings – but with a bit of luck we should get to see a spectacular murmuration of starlings as they come into roost around Ham Wall reserve. We’ll make an afternoon of this one and start as all best birding trips should – with a pub lunch at the Ring O’Bells in Moorlinch. They do an excellent Sunday dinner and its very close to the reserve.
We’ll spend a couple of hours in the afternoon – and we have a good chance of seeing Marsh Harrier and possibly a bittern – before the main event of a starling murmuration.
If you want lunch we’ll meet at the pub at 12:00 – or at RSPB Ham Wall carp park at 2:00pm. We can use the Whats App group to co-ordinate pub booking and lift share,
